Installation

We took inspiration from material produced by pupils of St Anne’s Primary School following an organised site visit to the Barras and subsequent participation in creative workshops, before designing the final four artworks.

As part of the wider revision of the Barras, we wanted to incorporate shop fronts and patterned details of the surrounding areas in the artwork. Workshops with the children allowed them to express their perception of the neighbourhood. Archways and specific architectural details are incorporated into a series of patterns where more can be discovered upon repeat viewings.
