The visitors discover new details about their town by sitting on different chairs every time they visit their health centre.

Responding to the surrounding environment and context of each health centre we have created designs for upholstered seating within the lobby and waiting areas.

The patterns were printed digitally onto a vinyl fabric tailored to NHS specifications to then be upholstered onto the chairs.

The colours chosen complement the therapeutic environment of the health centres and consider theories on the psychology of colour and dementia research. East Kilbride Health Centre's artwork was inspired by community engagement sessions with local schools and art groups.
